WAKE FOREST - Sadie Mae Watkins, 89, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010 at Hillside Nursing Center. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 29) at the Falls Community Church cemetery.

She was born in Johnston County, the daughter of the late Violet Grice Millard and Willie L. Millard, and was a charter member of the Falls of Neuse Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving: daughter, Judith Ann Watkins (Darwin) of the Falls Community; sons, Wesley Gordan Watkins Jr. (Judy) of Smithfield and Tommy Doyle Watkins (Brenda) of Youngsville; sister, Violet Jasinski of Wilmington; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley G. Watkins Sr., and two brothers, W. L. Millard Jr. and the Rev. Charles Richard Millard.
