YOUNGSVILLE-Leslie A. “Speck” Freeman, 61, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010. Funeral services were held Monday morning, Sept. 27, at Harris Chapel Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

He was born in Wake County, the son of the late Joseph and Irma Brown Freeman, and was the owner and operator of Speck Freeman Bobcat & Grading.

Surviving: wife, Donna Lu Freeman; daughter, Mary Freeman Davis (Joel) of Wake Forest; sister, Martha F. Jackson (Wiley) of Raleigh; brother, Joseph H. Freeman (Julia) of Zebulon; one grandson; several nieces and nephews.
