STANCIL E. WOODLIEF


YOUNGSVILLE —Stancil E. Woodlief, 78, died Saturday morning, Nov. 27, 2010 at Wake Medical Center. Funeral services were held Monday, Nov.  29, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Stratton officiating. Burial was in Youngsville Town Cemetery.

He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Addie and Benjamin Woodlief.

Surviving: his wife, Doris Upchurch Woodlief; sons, Benny Woodlief (Linda) of Orlando, Fla., and Kenny Woodlief (LeAnne) of Lawrence, Kan.; daughter, Deborah Pearce (Larry) of Youngsville; son, Charles Woodlief and Sue of Wake Forest; daughter, Charlotte Bartholomew (Kenneth) of Newport, N.C.; stepdaughters, Deborah Holden (Neil) and Linda Sandlin, all of Youngsville; sister, Rachel Cox of Charlotte; brothers, Leelan Woodlief of Youngsville, Wilbur Woodlief of Charlotte and Curtis Woodlief of Raleigh; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
