FRANKLINTON - James Randolph Barker was born October 3, 1949 in Henderson, N.C., the son of Leon Barker (deceased) and Vivian Powell of Sweet Home, Oregon. Jimmy passed away at Franklin Regional Medical Center in Louisburg on Dec. 16th due to complications from severe pneumonia and heart problems.

Surviving: siblings, Linda Ivie of Sweet Home Oregon, Susan Kerley,  Betsy Szymanski, and Pete Barker of Tucson, Az.; half brothers, Linwood (Earl)  and Lindbergh (Lindy) of Roxboro, N.C.  At Jimmy’s request, the family had him cremated with no immediate services.

The family would like to thank all of his close family members and friends that shared Jimmy’s mysterious life and appreciate the patience that was shown to him. His chosen statement for closing is “Remember me not, but believe in Jesus.”
