LOUISBURG - Annie Freeman Bowers, 78, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Franklinton Chapel, 504 E. Mason St. in Franklinton. Her grandson, the Rev. Samuel Eugene DeWitt, will officiate. Burial will be private in Fairview Cemetery.

A native of Franklin County, she was born to the late John W. and Minnie May Hill Freeman. She was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving: daughters, Pamela Jean DeWitt (Sam), Kay Johnson (Jody), and Fay Allen; son, Ray Odom; brothers, A. H. Freeman, Joseph Freeman and J. W. Freeman, all of Durham; sisters, Bertha Duke and Ruby Lee Pearce of Wake Forest; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild;

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Bowers.

Friends may visit on Thursday one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at 1026 MC Wilder Rd., Louisburg.
