JAMES E. WILDER


RALEIGH - James Ewell Wilder, 79, died Friday morning, Jan. 21, 2011 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Funeral service was Monday, Jan. 24, at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Montlawn Memorial Park.

A native of Franklin County, he was the son of the late Mary Bowden Wilder and William Calvin Wilder. He was retired as a lab technician with Monsanto.

Surviving: daughters, Wanda Schumann (Robert) of Raleigh, Rita Coats (Verlon) of Zebulon, Sandra Curington (fianceƩ, Darryl Mervin) of Kinston; brother, William Newton Wilder (JoEllen) of Charlotte; five granddaughters and four grandsons; one great-granddaughter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Metts Wilder, and his brother, George Truette Wilder.
