ZEBULON - Hugo Jose Nicaragua, 63, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2011. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, March 2) at Hephzibah Baptist Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

He was born in Masaya, Nicaragua, the son of Herman Orlando Nicaragua and Maria Mercedes Campos of Managua, Nicaragua. He worked as a financial advisor for Banco Nicaraguence of Managua, Nicaragua.

Surviving: wife, Francisca Yadira Romero; five children, Hugo D. Nicaragua of St. Louis, Mo., Virna (Daryl) Cole of Knightdale, Yadira (Gabe) Barbieri of Ijamsville, Md., Zulma (Chris) Sadelson of Hagerstown, Md., and Mildred Nicaragua of Washington, D.C.; seven grandchildren.
