FRANKLINTON - Dollie Goodwin “Jolly Dollie” Murray, 76, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2006 at her home. Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 16, in the Franklin Funeral Service chapel in Franklinton, with the Rev. Clyde Waiden officiating. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery.

Born in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Everette Goodwin and Alice Godfrey Goodwin, and was the widow of Onnie C. Murray. She was a member of Franklinton Baptist Church and served many years as a cook for Louisburg Nursing Center and the Pines Restaurant in Franklinton.

Surviving: son, Edwin C. “E.C.” Murray (Margie) of West Columbia, S.C.; sisters, Marie Hodge of Spring Hope and Lucille Ray of Wake Forest; brothers, Frank Goodwin, Eddie Lee Goodwin, John R. “Bud” Goodwin and Douglas M. “Whit” Goodwin, all of Franklinton; and two grandchildren.
