ZEBULON – William Carol “W. C.” Jeans, 70, died Friday, March 4, 2011. Funeral service was held  Monday,  March 7, at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel.  Internment followed in the Old Bunn Cemetery on Hwy. 98.

Born in Edgecombe County, he was son to the late Luther Edward Jeans  and Hattie Jones Brantley. He was an inaugural member of the Pilot Fire Department and was a member of the Lions Club. He was known as “Poptart” by his grandchildren.

Surviving: wife, Laura Faye Jones Jeans; son, Maury Jeans (Dawn) of Zebulon; siblings. James Jeans of Zebulon, Albert Lee Jeans (Alice Faye) of Youngsville, and Maxine Singleton of Bunn; and four grandchildren.
