WAKE FOREST - Marilyn “Betty Boo” Charmaine Hopkins, 57, died Tuesday, March 8, at her residence. Funeral service will be conducted at noon today (Saturday, March 12) at Friendship Chapel Baptist Church in Wake Forest. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to noon at the church.

She was born in Wake Forest to the late Henry T. and Halsie Hartsfield Hopkins. She was a graduate of Wake Forest Senior High School.

Surviving: brothers, Donald Hartsfield Sr. (Shelia), Jerry Alston, Marvin Hopkins of Wake Forest, and Derrick Hopkins of Raleigh; sisters, Lucretia H. Wood (Randolph) of Louisburg, Grail H. Meeks (Bennett) of Zebulon, and Wilma Hopkins of Raleigh; adopted brother, Domeshia Privette; 12 nieces and six nephews; 14 great-nieces and 17 great-nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
