LOUISBURG - Funeral services for George Thomas, 71, who died Friday, March 18, 2011, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at Jones Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Quintin Alston officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Kathy Perry of Henderson, Teresa Thomas of Woodbridge, Va., Tasya Arrington of Temple Hills, Md., Dana Griffin, Charlene Venable and Lisa Venable, all of Louisburg; son, Adolphaus Moore of Castalia; sisters, Bettie Collins of Louisburg and Margaret Wilkins of Jamaica, Queens, N.Y.; brothers, Glenn Thomas and Johnny Thomas Sr., both of Louisburg; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
