LAKE ROYALE - Robert Gene Blackwood, 76, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at his home. In honor of his wishes, there will be no memorial service.

He was born in Union County, S. C., son of Lewis and Mae Cogdell Blackwood. He was employed by Lichtman Associates of Milford, Conn., until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of the Elks BPOF # 1939 and was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.

Surviving: wife, Sheila Valard Blackwood; daughters, Marianne Blackwood of New York and Carolyn Blackwood of California.
