ZEBULON - James Wilton “J.W.” Boykin, 75, died Thursday, March 31, 2011. Funeral services were held Sunday, April 3, at Social Plains Baptist Church, with burial following in the church cemetery.

He was a retired supervisor from the Town of Zebulon Public Works Department. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Boykin, and a granddaughter.

Surviving: wife, Annette Batchelor Boykin of the home; daughters, Wanda Tyson, Denise Parker (Roger), Michael Boykin (Terry), all of Zebulon; son, Anthony Boykin of Huntersville; brothers, Wilber Boykin (Mary Ann) of McKinney, Tex., Warren Boykin (Marie), Wayne Boykin (Faye), Vernon Boykin, Jimmy Boykin (Priscilla “Mike”), all of Zebulon, Brooks Boykin of Winston-Salem and Bobby Boykin (Donna) of Cary; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Flowers or memorials to Hospice of Wake County Foundation, 250 Hospice CIrcle, Raleigh, NC 27607 are welcomed.
