ZEBULON - Helen Winifred McCormick Darnell, 60, died Sunday, April 10, 2011. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 13) at Strickland Funeral Home, 211 W. Third St., Wendell. Interment will follow in Beulah Christian Baptist Church cemetery.

She was a native of Durham and daughter of the late James Floyd and Helen Ida Hicks McCormick. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Raymond O’Neal.

Surviving: children, Robin Pearce (Ronald), Rayna Fone (Dennis), Renee Barnes (Marty), all of Zebulon, and Maureen Stuttle (Jeff) of Wendell; sibling, Judith Hansen of Durham; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
