WAKE FOREST - Phillip David “Phil” Lloyd, 77, died Thursday afternoon, April 21, 2011. Funeral services were held Sunday, April 24, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home. Burial followed in Wake Forest Cemetery.

He was born in Durham County, the son of the late Mack and Lilly Lloyd, and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was retired from the Westinghouse Turbine Plant.

Surviving: wife, Margaret P. Lloyd; children, Andy Gilleland (Dorothy) of Youngsville, Jane Wright (Ricky) of Wake Forest, David Lloyd (Karen) of Rock Hill, S.C., and Karen Lloyd of Raleigh; sisters, Helen Manning and Delona Lloyd, both of Durham; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Edna Hudson, Carman Reirson and Virginia Medlin.
