ZEBULON - Dr. James S. Stanley, 55, died Tuesday, May 17, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted at  2 p.m. today (Saturday, May 21) at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson, with Pastor Patrick Yelverton officiating.

The family will receive friends 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home immediately prior to the service.

Surviving: wife, Mary Stanley of Zebulon; daughter, Alana Stanley; son, Walter Stanley, and their mother, Henrietta Pridgen, all of Wilson; stepdaughters, Whitney Prindle of Chigaco, Ill., and Shauna Foster of Raleigh; stepson, Kyle Foster of Clayton; his mother, Julia Sosnowski; sister, Sue Sosnowski; brothers, Bill Sosnowski (Linda) and Bob Sosnowski (Joyce), all of Greensboro.

He was preceded in death by his father, Louie Sosnowski.
