YOUNGSVILLE - Brenda Kay Godley Davenport, 59, died Monday, July 4, 2011 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, July 6) at North Raleigh Church of Christ, 8701 Falls of Neuse Road, Raleigh, NC 27615.

She was born in Pitt County, the daughter of the late Jessie David Godley Sr. and Annie Lila Vandifort Davenport.

Surviving: husband, W. Ray Davenport; children, Angela Davenport Pavlic (Doug) of Raleigh, Dana Renee Guetterman (Aaron) of Raleigh, Laura Davenport Chaffin (Steven) of Wake Forest and Wesley Alan Davenport of Rolesville; brothers, J. D. Godley (Deborah) of Grimsley and Christopher Godley of Snow Hill; and eight grandchildren.

Friends may visit with the family from 12 to 1 p.m. Wednesday prior to the memorial service.
