KURE BEACH - Rosemary Kearney Phillips, 69, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Services were held Friday, July 15, at the Franklinton Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Franklinton. A graveside service immediately followed at Fairview Cemetery, Franklinton.

She was born in Franklin County to the late Annie and H. Willard Kearney. She regularly volunteered her services at nursing facilities and rest homes and visited the elderly.

Surviving: daughters, Karen Freeman Thompson of Creedmoor, Crystal Freeman Womble (Danny) of Creedmoor; son, Joseph Todd Freeman (Tammy Renee) of Wake Forest; brother, H. Willard Kearney Jr. of Franklinton; sister, Annette Kearney McGhee of Franklinton; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
