FRANKLINTON - James Woodrow King, 82, died Thursday, July 21, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 25, at Franklinton Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Averette officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

He was born in Wake County, son of the late Ollie Rogers King and Tallie King, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Commie Wilkes. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a retired machine operator with Gaylord Container Company.

Surviving: wife Kaye King; daughters; Betty King of Youngsville and Jackie Piper of Raleigh; one special grandson; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit with the family 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 South Main St., Wake Forest.
