LOUISBURG - Lucy Gray Arnold Wood, 88, died Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Franklin Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Monday, July 25, in the chapel of Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services in Louisburg. Entombment followed at Lancaster Memorial Park.

A native of Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Ebbie and Betty Vaughan Arnold. She was the widow of the late Raeford Wood. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Linwood Arnold and James Edward Arnold.

Surviving: daughters, Barbara W. Sykes (Charles) of Spring Hope; Rebecca W. Skillman (Jim) of Youngsville and Charlotte W. Burgess (Sammy) of   Epsom;   son,   Darrel Raeford Wood (Garnette) of Henderson; brother Dennis Arnold (Elizabeth) of Mount Airy; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
