YOUNGSVILLE — Royce Payne Wheeler, 58, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2011 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Graveside services were held Monday, Aug. 8, in the Wake Forest Town Cemetery.

He was born in Wake County, son of the late Roy W. and Betty Wheeler. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his stepson, James Tony Edwards.

Surviving: wife, Pat Wheeler of Youngsville; son, Jason Wheeler (Joyce) of New York; stepdaughters, Lisa Chappell (Jack) of Wendell, Jamie Cash (Van) of Louisburg; one grandson; and seven step-grandchildren.
