WAYNE A. BOOHER


ZEBULON - Wayne Allen Booher, 63, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2011. Funeral service was held Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Middlesex Church of God, with the Rev. Steve Edmondson officiating. Burial was in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Zebulon, with full military honors.

He served 22 years in the Army 82nd Airborne. After retirement, he wrote “The Master’s Call,” and was working on his second book, “I Surrender All.”

Surviving: wife, Rosa Lowery Booher; son, Christopher A. Booher (Jennifer) of Lake Royale; daughter, Brandy B. Carroll (Paul) of Selma; sister, Linda Buie of Fayetteville; brothers, Jack Snodgrass of Texas and Robert Booher of Fayetteville; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Cora Snodgrass.
