ZEBULON - Rose Chamblee Turnage, 74, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Zebulon United Methodist Church.

A native of Wake County, she was the daughter of the late Whitley and Carolyn Barnes Chamblee. She worked with the N.C. Department of Corrections for many years.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Billy.

Surviving: husband, Bobby Turnage of the home; daughters, Gail Davis of Zebulon and Nancy Eatmon (Phillip) of Bailey; siblings, Zeke (JoAnne) of Raleigh, Durwood (Colleen) of California, Joe of Zebulon, Shirley of California, Barbara Lyon (Donald) of Durham and Betty Oakley (Donnie) of Zebulon; and two grandchildren.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Zebulon UMC, General Fund, 121 W. Gannon Ave., Zebulon, NC 27597.
