YOUNGSVILLE - Funeral services for Charles “Blue Boy” Bumpers Sr., 60, who died Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, at Union Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Samuel Tunstall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Theodosia Bumpers of the home; daughter, Tarsha Adams of Zebulon; sons, James Bumpers of Youngsville, Michael Bumpers of the home, Charles Bumpers Jr. of Franklinton; sister, Diane Bumpers Collins of Louisburg; brothers, Richard Leon Bumpers of Franklinton, James Larry Bumpers of Louisburg, Johnnie Wayne Bumpers and William Bumpers, both of Youngsville, Dea. Samuel Cooke, Dea. Ronnie Cooke, Johnnie Cooke and Adell Cooke, all of Franklinton; and 13 grandchildren.

Open visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
