WAKE FOREST - Ann Lassiter Blackmon, 82, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011 at her residence. A funeral service was held Thursday, Oct. 13, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Terry Ashe officiating. Burial followed in the Falls Community Cemetery.

She was born in Wake County, daughter of the late Lizzie Mangum Lassiter and Lee Lassiter.

Surviving: husband, William H. “Bill” Blackmon; sons, Wayne Blackmon of Franklinton, Neil Blackmon of Rolesville; sister, Dora Lassiter Pasour (Henry) of Maury, N.C.; brother, Ernest O. Lassiter (Mary) of Wake Forest; and three granddaughters.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Falls Baptist Church General Fund, 9700 Fonville Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
