WINSTON-SALEM-George Willard Steller, 93, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011. Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, at Rocky Cross Baptist Church, Middlesex.

He was born in New Haven, Conn. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He moved to Franklin County in 1980, where his wife’s family was located. He later moved to Brookridge Retirement Community in Winston-Salem to be close to his daughter.

Surviving: daughter, Peggy Steller Blackburn (James) of Winston-Salem; and one granddaughter.
