LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Lela R. Alston, 90, who died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, will be held at noon Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Thomas Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Cora Alston of Norfolk, Va., Estelle Mills of Landover, Md., Florence Harrison of Hollister, Evangelean Anstead of Castalia and Shirley Hayes of Spring Hope; sons, Levi Alston of Centerville, Herbert Alston of Louisburg, Clifton Alston of Norlina, Willie M. Alston of Landover, Md., Sidney Alston of Spring Hope and Frank Alston of Louisburg; 35 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Wake services will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
