RALEIGH - Samir “Sam” Fawry Rizk, 71, died suddenly on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011 while on vacation in the Grand Cayman Islands. Funeral service was held Sunday, Dec. 18, at Middlesex Church of God Worship Center in Middlesex. Graveside services with Hebrew prayers followed at the Murray family cemetery in Nash County.

He was born in Cairo, Egypt, son of the late Fawzy Rizk and Moufida C. Rizk. He was a consultant with the country of Israel.

Surviving: wife, Helen Louise Rizk of Raleigh; stepdaughter, Connie L. Todd (Michael) of Oklahoma City, Okla.; stepson, Barry J. Morgan (Darnell) of Louisburg; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Victor Rizk (Colette), Kamal Rizk (Vivian); sisters, Vivian Ishbak (Maged) and Camelia Rizk, all of Raleigh.
