LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Hattie Moore Chavis, 92, who died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. William P. Ratcliff officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Evelyn R. Mitchell of Youngsville, Shirley M. Chavis of the home, Irma Chavis Bailey of Louisburg, and Elaine Chavis-Young of Henderson; sons, Joe Douglas Chavis of Henderson, Sylvester Chavis and Bernard W. Chavis, both of Oxford; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Wake services will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
