YOUNGSVILLE - Floy Cannon Jones, 80, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2012 at her residence. A memorial service was held Tuesday, Jan. 31, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home.

She was born in Lenoir to the late Mabel Setzer Cannon and the Rev. Daniel Boyd Cannon.

Surviving: husband, Samuel Paul Jones; daughter, Julie Jones Sterling of Youngsville; brother, Harvey Cannon (Merry) of Wilmington; five grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by her daughters, Sandra Paula Jones and Carol Delia Sneden; siblings, Palmer Cannon and Clarence Cannon.
