WAKE FOREST - George G. Ferrell, 82, died Monday, March 12, 2012. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 15, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home. Burial was in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

He was born in Wake County, the son of the late Lillie and Booner Ferrell. He was a retired supervisor with Burlington Industries and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Surviving: wife, Jane Baker Ferrell; daughter, Pam Moore (Gordon) of Louisburg; sons, Tim Ferrell (Amy) of Pilot and George Ferrell Jr. (Kathy) of Surf City; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
