LOUISBURG – Fred Eugene Kinney, 60, died Thursday night, March 29, 2012. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 2, at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

He was a son of the late Fred and Mary Alexander Kinney, and was preceded in death by his sister, Virma K. Defee. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Surviving: wife, Donna W. Kinney; son, Gene Kinney of Louisville, Ky.; stepsons, Michael Hayes of Louisburg and James Hayes of Benson; sister, Barbara (Jeff) Phalan of Snellville, Ga.;  brother, Webb Kinney of Birmingham, Ala.; two grandsons.
