LOUISBURG - Jack Furman Stanley, 79, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Maria Parham Medical Center. A graveside service with full military honors was held  Thursday, March 29, at Elmwood Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossoman.

He was born in Vance County, the son of the late Paul Cecil Stanley and Jacksie Ross Stanley. He was a retired veteran of the U. S. Air Force, where he served as a technical sergeant. He attended South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving: wife, Eileen Beeching Stanley of the home; daughters, Mary Jane Stanley of Kittrell and Kelly S. Bridge of Epsom; son, Michael Allan Stanley of the home; sister, Pauline “Polly” S. Fuller  of Louisburg; brother, Charles E. “Pete” Stanley of Oxford; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Kirk F. Russell; two sisters, Ruth S. Derby and Martha S. Currin; and a brother, Preston C. Stanley.
