LOUISBURG - William Lee “Bill” Sauls, 71, died Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Raleigh Rehab and Health Care. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 5, at Maple Springs Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jason Havens and the Rev. Grover Blackburn officiating. Interment followed in Maple Springs Church cemetery.

He was employed with Newcombe Heating and Air in Raleigh for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betsy S. Sauls.

Surviving: companion, Betty S. Holmes of Louisburg; daughters, Tammy Sauls Nichlas (Jamie) of Willow Spring, Lisa Sauls Johnson (Jay) of Angier; sisters, Clara Faye S. Young and Linda Gail Sauls Stephenson, both of Angier; stepdaughters, Sherry G. Vaughan (Willard), Robbie G. Hunt (Mike), all of Louisburg, and Beverly G. Gardner (Jeff) of Wake Forest; stepson, Reece Gupton (Cindy) of Louisburg; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The flag at the funeral home was flown at half-staff in honor of Mr. Saul’s service to our country.
