WAKE FOREST -   Margaret Novella New, 61, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Durham Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 2, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

She was born to the late Calvester New and Carrie Mae Brown New in Harlan County, Ky.  She was a graduate of Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. She retired from her career as a computer engineer with Citi Financial in 2004.

Surviving: sister, Calvesta Harris  (Mike) of Cleveland, Ohio; niece and care taker, Michelle Andrews of Wake Forest; an aunt and uncle; and a host of other nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Geraldine Hicks, and a brother, Benjamin Hicks, Jr.

Friends may visit with the family Monday morning, one hour prior to the service at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest.
