ROCKY MOUNT - Martha Duane Dickerson, 70, passed away Wednesday July 4, 2012. She was born June 10, 1942 in Talladega County, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Stokley Mae Gravette.  Duane was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was affectionately known as Grandma Dewey. She retired from the Franklin County Dept. of Social Services after many years of faithful service.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Deborah Best and husband Greg, Kim Bennett and husband Danny; one sister, Barbara Rivenbark (retired teacher from Coopers School) and husband Buddy; four grandchildren, Nicole Best, Ashley Earp and husband Bryan, Courtney and Kelly Bennett; four great-grandchildren, Blake Wolfe, Torrie and Cameron Sanders and Cody Outlaw.

Visitation was Friday, July 6, 2012, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
