LOUISBURG – Rozelle Burnette Best, 79, of Louisburg went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday night.

Mrs. Best was a daughter of the late Ezra and Rosa Lancaster Burnette. She was preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge O. Best; grandson, Joshua Best; sister, Rilla B. Jackson; brothers, Glinwood Burnette and Nathaniel Burnette.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Best is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia B. and Charles Batton of Louisburg; sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Sharon Best of Southport, Tony and JoAnn of Castalia; grandchildren, Joy B. Devins, Shannon B. Gupton, Jonathan T. Best, Jennifer L. Green, Victoria Best; great-grandchildren, Craig Devins, Brooke Devins, Patrick Green, Jr.
