LOUISBURG - William Howard “Scoot” Lancaster, 54, died Monday, July 30, 2012, at Murdoch Center.  Graveside services will be held Thursday, Aug. 2, at 2 p.m. at Sandy Creek Baptist Church, with Chaplain Willis Herman officiating. 

The son of the late Darrell Burt and Penelope Miley Lancaster, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Curtis G. Lancaster, and his brother, Ennis Burt Lancaster. 

Surviving: sister, Diane Capitani (Sam) of Tampa, Fla., and his brother, D. B. Lancaster, Jr. of Raleigh.
