LOUISBURG - Robert Frank “Bob” Myers, 76,  died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Durham VA Medical Center. A service in his honor will be offered on Monday, Aug. 6, at 8 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 520 W. Holding Avenue, Wake Forest.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family for memories and sharing on Saturday, Aug. 4, from 1-5 p.m. at the home of Lance and Sharon Myers Short, 1409 Wall Street, Wake Forest.

He was born in Union City, N.J. to the late Harley and Elfrieda (Leeb) Myers. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1954-58 as a munitions expert. As a salesman, he earned many awards throughout his life. After settling in Louisburg, he shared an antiques business with his wife Pat.

Surviving: wife, Pat; children, Robert Jr., Sharon, Kevin, Michelle, Suzanne and Joanne; brother, James; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
