LOUISBURG – Carl Olds Pleasants, 74, died Sunday afternoon, Aug. 5, 2012. Funeral service was held Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Centerville Baptist Church with the Rev. Aaron Land officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service.

Carl was a son of the late Walter P. and Annie Lee Nelms Pleasants and was preceded in death by his brother, W.P. Pleasants Jr.

Surviving: wife of 49 years, Shelby D. Pleasants; daughter,  Carla P. (David) Coble of Winston-Salem; son, Scott Pleasants; sister, Margie P. Edwards; special friend, Casey Aycock, all of Louisburg.
