KITTRELL - Funeral services for Theodore “Ted” Sawyer, 73, who died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2012, were held Monday, Oct. 1, at Concord Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Thomas Richardson officiating. Burial followed in the Kingsberry family cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Harriett K. Sawyer of the home; daughter, Regina Brown of Bowie, Md.; sons, Preston Sawyer of Charlotte, Derek Kingsberry and Terrance Kingsberry, both of Kittrell, and James Taylor Jr. of Carrollton, Va.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
