HENDERSON —Funeral services for James Edward “Nig” Macon, 78, who died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, will be held at 12 noon Saturday, Oct. 6, at Rowland Chapel Christian Church, with the Rev. John Miles officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Gloria Lassiter and Joyce Macon, both of Louisburg, and Donna Macon of the home; son, Frederick Stokes of Henderson; sisters, Juanita Fogg, Rev. Annie M. Davis, Rena Macon, Mildred Macon, all of Louisburg, Bertha Williams of Raleigh, Carolyn Hunter of Henderson; brothers, J. C. Macon and George Macon, both of Louisburg; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Open visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
