LOUISBURG – Dorothy “Dot” Foster DeMent, 82, died Sunday morning, Oct. 7, 2012. Funeral service was held Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Haley officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

She was a daughter of the late Sam and Mamie Breedlove Foster. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard P. DeMent; sister, Lucille Bobbitt; brothers, Hubert Foster and Joe Foster.

Surviving: sister, Jane F. Pearce; brother, Henry (Quida) Foster, all of Louisburg; several nieces and nephews.
