FRANKLINTON - Clarence Woodrow “Woody” Morris, 68, died at his home in Franklinton on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Sunday, Oct. 14, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 504 E. Mason Street, Franklinton. Family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

He graduated from Franklinton High School and moved into a career in construction.

Surviving: wife, Ida Self Morris of the home; mother, Sadie Pleasants Morris of Louisburg, and child, Melody Tart of Henderson; sisters, Bessie West (Joe) of Franklinton and Anna Green of Zebulon; many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hayward Woodrow Morris, and one nephew.
