ROANOKE RAPIDS - Johnny Joyner, 69, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 2, at Massey Funeral Home in Roanoke Rapids. Interment followed at Jackson Cemetery.

Surviving: his children, Patricia Gonshor of Warrenton, Bruce Wayne Joyner (Desiree) of California, Gene Stallings (Judy) of Raleigh, Greg Stallings (Wanda) of Franklinton and Walter Stallings of Raleigh; a sister, Agnes Moody (Jim) of Roanoke Rapids; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 322 N. Lauderdale, Memphis, TN 38105.
