LOUISBURG - Rudolph “Rudy” Maynard, 81, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at home.

He was a son of the late John and Mary Maynard and was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Maynard. He was an Army Veteran.

A funeral service will be held 4 p.m. today (Saturday, Oct. 27) in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

A private burial will follow in the Centerville Baptist Church Cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Barbara Maynard; daughter, Debbie Rumph of Louisburg; sons, Gordon Maynard of Zebulon, Nathan Maynard of Holly Springs, Mark and Randy Maynard both of Louisburg; sister, Nancy Holiway of Cartersville, Ga; brother, John Maynard of West Union, Ohio; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
