CASTALIA - Funeral services for Martha R. Silver, 78, who died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, were held Tuesday, Oct. 30, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Linda Taybron officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Bettie J. Dale of Castalia, Lula Richardson of Richmond, Va. and Yvonne Jefferson of Castalia; sons, William Silver and Johnny Evans, both of Louisburg, Howard Silver of Hollister, Robert Silver of Castalia and Michael Earl Silver of Nashville; sisters, Lola Silver of Louisburg an Ruth Mae Harrison of Castalia; brother, Claude Richardson of Warrenton; 23 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
