NORFOLK, Va. - Rufus B. Turner, 81, died Monday, Dec. 25, 2006 at Lee Memorial Hospital in Norfolk. A funeral service with Masonic rites was conducted Thursday, Dec. 28, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, with Dr. Terry Spencer officiating. Burial followed in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Surviving: his wife, Janet Griffin Turner, a native of Franklin County; sister, Dorothy Winslow (Bill) of Chesapeake, Va.; a brother, Lewis Turner (Kay) of Portsmouth, Va.; sisters-in-law, Pat G. Nicholson (Nick) of Cedar Rock (Franklin County) and Jill G. Gupton of Louisburg; two nieces and one nephew; and several great-nieces and nephews.
