WAKE FOREST - Esther Barnette Tant, 93, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, Dec. 8) at Beulah Christian Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She was born in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Barnette, and was a member of Beulah Christian Baptist Church. She worked at the Sir Walter Hotel, Ballentine’s Cafeteria and Wake Medical Center for many years before her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie R. Tant. Surviving: son, Billy Tant of Wake Forest; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
