FRANKLINTON - Mary Lee Patterson Pitts, 94, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007 in an Oxford retirement facility. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 14, in the Franklin Funeral Service Chapel, Franklinton, with the Rev. Don Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Bunn Town Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home.

Born in Franklin County, she was the daughter of Robert Lee Patterson and Cora May Patterson. Mrs. Pitts was a retired nursing assistant and admissions employee of John Umstead Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bryat Pegram and Garland Pitts, and one grandson.

Surviving: her son, Alvin Pegram of Bullock; daughter, Gaye Perry of Franklinton; sisters, Fannie Hayes of Louisburg, Hazel Timberlake of Youngsville and Tempie Watkins of Richmond, Va.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
